Kutalmış Ersoy is a Turkish-qualified lawyer with experience in energy, commercial contracts and regulation. Focusing on the European and Turkish energy markets, he advises energy companies operating across multiple jurisdictions, suppliers, trading companies, investors and project developers on wholesale electricity and natural gas markets, energy contracts, project development, cross-border transactions and regulatory matters.
His experience includes energy trading and market access, project and transaction structuring, regulatory compliance and commercial negotiations. His work spans EFET and ISDA documentation, PPAs, EPC and O&M agreements, BESS supply and optimisation arrangements, and natural gas and LNG contracts, as well as regulatory matters involving REMIT, EMIR, MiFID II, market entry requirements, CBAM and the energy transition.
Before founding ERS Consulting, Kutalmış worked at the Energy Charter Secretariat in the field of international energy policy. He holds LL.M. degrees from King’s College London and the Brussels School of Competition. Drawing on his experience across law, energy markets and regulation, he works closely with in-house legal, compliance and commercial teams, particularly on matters involving multiple jurisdictions.
