Meltem Ersoy is a Turkish-qualified lawyer with experience in energy, mining, infrastructure, commercial contracts and regulatory matters. She began her career at Baker McKenzie’s Istanbul office, where she advised domestic and international clients on energy and infrastructure projects, cross-border transactions, regulatory matters and complex commercial agreements, including EPC, O&M, PPA and EFET agreements. She has also worked on M&A transactions, legal due diligence and capital markets matters in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
Alongside her law firm experience, Meltem has advised European energy companies on commercial and regulatory matters relating to renewable energy, battery storage and solar projects. Her work combines legal analysis with a practical understanding of the commercial and regulatory challenges facing the energy sector. She holds an LL.M. in European and International Business Law from the University of Vienna, where she further specialised in EU competition and State aid law, international business law and the legal aspects of the energy transition.
